The Paul Harris Recognition was established in 1957 by Rotary to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to  The Rotary Foundation.  Early Paul Harris Fellows received a Certificate of Recognition. In 1969 the first Paul Harris Medallion was unveiled. Today Paul Harris Fellows receive a Certificate and Pin. Rotarians have a tradition of supporting the Foundation by honoring others.

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their names of US$1000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Former Mesa East Rotarians Chuck Holland and Jim Schermetzler and their new Gilbert Rotary Club was pleased to bestow this high honor on David Pullman from EVIT for all he does for students in the East Valley. Congratulations David.
